I own two EON15-X laptops
I own two EON15-X laptops, purchased between 5 and 6 years ago for my two sons. A couple of weeks ago the newer machine stopped powering on. My son called the Origin service department and the technician walked him through several easy tests. They got to a point where the technician started to guide him through opening the back of the machine. My son didn't have tools, so was not able to continue. I now have that machine and called the service department myself, hoping to continue the diagnosis. I spoke to "Robert" who seemed completely disinterested in helping me. His suggestion after a few minutes was that it was "probably" the Motherboard, and that Origin offers no parts to repair this model, nor authorized repair shops for service. So dissatisfied I called back and got "Mike," who after 8 minutes on hold hung up on me.

If this is the 24/7 "Dedicated" "Knowledgeable Veteran" support your website touts, they are in a World of hurt. I bought two machines from Origin and won't buy another. They seem to have one guy who spoke to my son that actually gave a crap about helping resolve our issue.

LCD screen adhesive failed and screen fell off
I purchased a gaming laptop from ORIGIN PC in October of 2020. I received the laptop and was pleased with it until recently when I lifted the screen lid and the LCD screen separated from the lid. Upon further inspection, the adhesive used to hold the screen to the lid failed. I had been using the laptop for only a couple years and maybe used it for roughly 6-8 hours a week on average. The adhesive should have held up much longer. I looked up this specific problem and it appears several others who purchased ORIGIN laptops experienced the same issue with varying time frames (some had their laptop a couple days while others had it for a couple years like myself). I contacted ORIGIN PC support and found that nobody was answering (they are supposed to have 24/7 customer support over the phone). When I got no answer, I sent an email to attempt to have my issue resolved. ORIGIN PC tech support responded that I was outside my warranty and sent the condescending message of "If it were a defect then the issues would have risen before the warranty expired". I understood that I was outside of the warranty; however, the way in which ORIGIN handled my ticket item and their responses are not the traits of a quality or trustworthy company. A further email of the tech support agent verified that ORIGIN actually uses cheaper, less robust adhesive in their laptops. It was stated that if they used stronger adhesive, it would make repairs/replacements of the LCD more difficult. This made me question why they were getting so many repair requests for their screens. Are their screens cheap and lower quality as well? What other components that ORIGIN installs are lower quality? ORIGIN said that I could still send in my laptop, but I would be responsible for all expenses (shipping/repair). Based on what happened when ORIGIN built my customized expensive laptop, I decided it was best to handle it myself. Be careful when purchasing a computer from ORIGIN PC.

Terrible customer service/policy
My pre-built PC arrived with a leaking Cosair AIO pump. It's not Origin's fault for sure. However, Origin required me to ship the not working pump first before they can ship out a replacement. A decent vendor would have ship out a replacement immediately without waiting customer to ship the not working back first. Not to mentioned it's leaking right after turn on the PC.

To be fair, the PC build is decent with high price. Just cross your finger and hope you don't get into any problem with the build.

Purchased a 6,000 dollar machine which originally arrived with no issues. After three months the mother board failed. Due to the warranty I was told to send it back for repairs which I did. They noted damage during transit would be on the customer. Upon arrival they told me that the motherboard was damaged in transit that I was responsible for the damage even though they were the ones that told be it was damaged to begin with. This is the second time something like this has happened with this company. The TECH support is awful, spend your money elsewhere. They truly do not care about the customer at all!

Limited PC storefront with a basic client. but ok-ish.
Never had any real problem with purchases and the refund process is fairly easy to understand. Storefront titles are a bit limited. They could do with more third party games imo. The client could do with some more Library options like sub-folders. Picked up some nice game licenses on the big sales. So price wise can't complain.

Dont waste your time
Dont waste your time

They will build you a PC to your liking and ship it to you, sure, but when it comes down to needing help they'll leave you in the dark.
You'll spend near 40 minutes on hold waiting for a lazy customer service "technician" who would rather defer you to call back another time rather than help you. Their so called "prestigious customer support" is a hoax. They claim to provide services for those not super knowledgeable of PC issues but leave you going to Reddit for solutions instead. Ive had an ongoing issue with a near 3000 dollar computer I ordered, but this piece of garbage customer support service has had me playing phone tag and calling back every other day to no avail.

"Your average wait time is four minutes", but they'll have you wait 40 just to tell you to call back another time.

About Average
They sold me what I bought, it is a decent product and it delivered weeks ahead of time; and that was the high point. There were some broken pieces to something on the inside which makes me worried about the longevity of the product. One of my main concerns about buying a PC from Origin, was that it is upgradeable so that I can add hard drives, which it wasn't. I called Orgin about the missing SATA Cables and they told me they would send them to me. They did not. A week later I called back and they said they would send them to me. They did, but after waiting two weeks, only the Motherdrive cables arrived but not the power supply cables. So I bought them on eBay.
I would say that they rate about average. They put together the computer you want but they don't have a good inspection department, they don't have good attention to detail, and they don't take your needs seriously. But delivery was very quick.

I ordered a $6,000+ custom built…
I ordered a $6,000+ custom built computer on 8/11/2021. The computer arrived 9/4/2021. Upon set up, the computer shuts itself down after 2 minutes with error code: CPU is overheating. This computer has liquid cooling. I tried calling their customer service department and technical service department and just put on hold for hours. I have received no return emails or returned calls. I have since taken the computer for local repair and awaiting the additional costs of repairs to a product I paid over $6K for! Stay away from this company. Their customer support is terrible and nonexistent. The local repair "geek squad" looking at my product questioned whether the people who built this computer knew what they were doing. Consider yourself warned.

Don't take my word for it, call their phone number, and see if you can actually speak with a support rep.
You want to find out for yourself, the level of support you will get, call their phone number, and go to option #2, the Support queue, and see if anyone picks up. Don't waste your $, lots of much more reputable companies, who will actually provide and support for your product long after the sale is finished.

Excellently built, great packaging!
Excellently built, arrived in complete working order, and runs like a dream. I'm not fussed over it taking longer, that's just part and parcel of this global pandemic stuff, and it's the same with every single PC builder. I would recommend their computers to anyone who wants the best of the best.

Incompetent from Top to Bottom
One star because there's no zero. Worst customer support I've experienced in years, if ever. I ordered a fully kitted out gaming PC for my retirement. Here's what three months and nearly $14,000 got me.

First, it arrived dead with two of eight disks (25%) non-functional. Origin tried to blame shipping but after pulling one of the disks I could see it was installed incorrectly. It was mounted with the wrong screw and it caused a visible bend. I sent photos to Origin and they admitted it was their fault and "expedited" replacement parts in four days rather than the normal ten. Neither disk worked. One was DOA and the other was the wrong part with a mount for a different motherboard. That's two strikes already (or more, depending on how you count).

They decided to have me ship it to them for repairs. This was a bit of a concern because of how it came packed. Origin ships in heavy wooden crates assembled with dozens of screws and industrial staples. It's a completely unnecessary gimmick and it makes repacking an intimidating task. My concerns were worsened by the packing "instructions" they sent. It was a long list of *what* to pack and one single line on *how* to pack (bolded and highlighted in the original):

Package your system securely (**Failure to do so may lead to shipping damage that ORIGIN PC will not be responsible for.**)

I needed a bit more assurance that this wasn't some kind of scam, with how quickly they tried to blame shipping initially it seemed like their go-to move. I contacted them with my concerns and was ghosted for three days. No replies, no calls back, nothing. That was strike three, I was done with this company. I called and said that I want a refund and it's up to them to deal with the packing. After talking to three different techs someone was finally willing to go on the record that I wouldn't be held liable for shipping damage, once UPS picks it up it's on them. So I packed it up, replacing a couple broken bits as best I could.

Apparently not one of those three techs wrote down that I wanted a refund, because I got an email after sending it back that they were repairing it and it would be shipped soon. I emailed to say that it was a return, not a repair, and that's when they went from incompetent to insulting. They said I would be charged a 15% restocking fee and have to pay all the shipping. I'd be paying over $2,500 for the fun of doing QA's job. After threatening lawyers I got a written confirmation of a 100% refund within 3-5 days. That was 15 days ago and the company has stopped returning my calls, so I may have to get my attorneys on it after all.

Stay far away from Origin PC.

Buyer Beware.
Computer comes with a proprietary origin bios! Cannot update the bios from the manufacturers website. Got the corsair 5000x case. They glued the rgb controller onto the shroud that covers the side case fans, now cannot install extra fans on the side like I told them do in the first place. Does not ship you the extra fans that came with the case and the liquid cooling radiator but instead keeps them.

Will lie to you about the status of your computer, but instead tells you everything is fine, and will ship on the estimated ship date.

I did not receive any email updates like others have each week on the status of my computer. I did not receive a SINGLE email from them on anything, guess I had the worst, most laziest sales rep at the whole company. Paid about $5500 for a new computer is it that hard to take about 2mins out of your time to keep me updated?

Disappointed in Illinois.

Great Computers and Etc
No problems ever and a helpful personal assistant to help me along the way. I learned about this from Felix from YouTube Pewdiepie.
